Film competition: 160 years of railways in Slovakia.

In celebration of the 160th anniversary of the railway services in Slovakia, ZSR (Zeleznice slovenskej republiky – The Slovak Railways) invites all amateur film makers to the following competition:

“Railways in Slovakia”

The competition will be a part of the Railfilm 2008 Festival in its third edition. The category “Railways in Slovakia” will be a subcategory of the amateur film category and will be honored separately with the following prizes:

1st prize: HDV camera
2nd prize: High-End consumer camera
3rd prize: Diverse video equipment in value of 600 Euro

All awards will be presented during the Railmovie Award Evening on Sept. 20th in Strasshof, Austria in presence of the representatives of DB-AG, ÖBB, BahnTV and ZSR.

The rules of the Amateur film category apply to the participants of the “Railways in Slovakia” competition. Entries for this subcategory should be marked with “160”, and the films should focus on the railways in Slovakia. All films of this category will also participate in the main competition for amateur films.
