The first international amateur railway film competition RAILFILM 2006 is in the final stage. 25 films from 6 countries entered the competition, which are now at the members of the international jury. The chairman of the jury is the internationally well known railway journalist Mr. Bob Symes. Under his guide the members of the Jury from United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia decide the winner, the best camera and the best ten films.

The main prize is a high-end video camera sponsored by SONY. The best cameraman wins the special prize of BahnTV – another video camera, and the first 10 films will be published on DVDs in SH-Produktion.
The public award celebration will take place on Sept. 2nd, 2006 in Bratislava, Slovakia during the Railway days 2006 organized by MDC Bratislava in their historical Railway museum area. For further details please consult our regularly actualized web page: www.railfilm.net.
